Part of the Thrill Rides series

Up, down, and around they go maybe even turning upside down or ending with a splash. They are amusement rides, and to a kid, few things offer a bigger thrill! This colorfully designed series celebrates the history of excitement provided by carousels, Ferris wheels, roller coasters, and water rides. While bold photos depict both vintage and contemporary models of these rides, the easy-to-follow text offers a basic introduction to their history, varied forms, and record-setting incarnations. Step up and get your ticket to ride!
