Remembering his witnessthrough expressive imagesand wordsCelebrating one hundred years, thisbook beautifully traces the pontificateof St. John Paul II through photosand words from his petrine magisterium. It is addressed to all the faithfulon the occasion of the centenary ofhis birth. It is right to remember this greatholy witness of the faith that Godhas given to his Church and to humanity. He was a great witness ofmercy, and throughout his pontificatehe called us to this characteristic ofGod. It is nice to remember him in asimple way: with images, so expressiveand capable of transmitting to us whatJohn Paul II was. I hope that thisbook, with its short texts and prayersdrawn from his homilies, his documents, and his magisterium, will reachthe hands of many, and above allyoung people. Let us remember hisfaith, and may his life be an examplefor us to live our testimony today.Pope Francis, from the prefacePaulist Press
